Are you an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a proven ability in spatial data structures and tools, modern data processing practices and cloud native architectures and services?
Resolve Recruit is partnering with a prominent Commonwealth government agency to find a skilled Senior Software Engineer. This role is pivotal in developing software for the National Seabed Mapping.
As a key member of the technical team, you will provide technical leadership, oversee software development projects and ensure the highest quality of software production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provision of technical advice across the full technical stack from database through to UI
- Architecture design and software engineering from inception to implementation
- Delivery of system updates to existing systems based on existing backlogs
- Development and delivery of improvements to existing science data pipelines and design and development of emerging science data pipelines
Skills and Experience:
- Experience architecting and refactoring complex applications across web and desktop
- Ability to work with a business analyst translate requirements into detailed task descriptions
- Experience working in the spatial industry/working with spatial systems and data
- Experience working with Python, Javascript, and other programming languages
- Experience in delivering applications in a cloud setting, specifically AWS
- Knowledge of and experience with version control and associated processes
